Care Instructions

The Dos and Don'ts of Tape Weft Maintenance & Aftercare

Do:

  • Schedule move-up appointments every 4 weeks to prevent added weight from grown-out hair, which can lead to premature slippage.
  • Use sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner to keep your tape bonds secure and your extensions looking their best.
  • Gently brush your hair with a soft-bristle brush throughout the day to prevent tangling.
  • Apply a heat protectant before using hot tools to shield your Tape Wefts and natural hair from damage.

Don't:

  • Wash your hair within 48 hours of installation — give the adhesive time to fully bond for a secure hold.
  • Use oils or silicone-based products on the adhesive bonds, which can weaken the tapes and lead to slippage.
  • Sleep with wet hair, which can cause tangling.
